Randy faithfully served our community for over 40 years as the Parks Director, Municipal Golf Course Manager, and our “#1 Prankster.”

ARPA Lifetime Achievement Award
Our Dear Friend was honored at the Arkansas Recreation and Parks Association Conference this year with the “Lifetime Achievement Award”.
This special award is to recognize a person, professional or citizen, who live(d) or work(ed) in the State of Arkansas and has achieved prominence for his/her excellence in outstanding and lasting contributions to the advancement of recreation and parks on the local and/or state levels. These contributions should be of long term impact upon the recreation and park movement.
It was an honor to be with Jeff’s father to receive this prestigious recognition, and Mr. Owens said “It is rare for someone’s profession and their passion to come together…and Jeff’s did. He loved his job. Jeff valued teamwork, and for all you who served on teams with him, this is for you.”
Well done Jeff, thank you!

Maxfield Park is getting TURF! π
That means more play, less mud, and a green play surface all year long! πΏπ
To make it happen, the park will be temporarily closed during construction β but only for a short time! We expect work to be completed and the park reopened early the first week of June β25.
We appreciate your patience as we upgrade for a safer, cleaner, and more fun experience for everyone. Stay tuned β exciting changes are coming soon!
